A writer/poet/publisher who works with “watercolour” she expresses her work as “Visual Poetry”. She has a profound concern for humanity as a whole. In 2007 her poetry was awarded by “Neo Surrealista Movimiento, LEscala. Gerona España 1º Premio De Todas Las Artes Surrealistas Categoría Humanista”. From her own Language Centre she organizes fund raising projects for helping children in Peru and Africa. She is a dedicated supporter of fellow artists and writers throughout the world.

Julia De la Rúa Rodríguez was born in Bejar, Salamanca, where she lived until her late teens when she migrated toward the Mediterranean, specifically the city of Valencia.
Since 1986, she has been directing the International Language Center, an institution of great prestige.

Self taught… guided through the valleys of poetry, literature and painting.
She belongs to the generation of Alba and the Way and is a prominent member, having participated in several anthologies including "Alba Cubana" published in conjunction with poets of UNEAC. (National Union of Cuban Writers and Artists).
Component of the first route on mystical poetry, hosted by the University of Salamanca, Spain.
Her first poem, "Dragoste" was published in 1998 and in 2000, she published her second book of prose poetry, "Los finales y los sueños" (The ends and the dreams). Her first novel was "Pui-Mic" and she is currently preparing two books of poetry and a novel that will see light in 2009.
Since 1996, Julia has been working on exhibitions for ARTE SOLIDARIO - A living project integrating artists and society. She is a committed and visceral creator of events that combine poetry, painting and music. Universities and schools of all kinds will delight with her vanguardism and libertarian fight for individual freedoms.
